The Poodge-Pudge debate:
So,
gentlemen... are you ever curious what body type women are really attracted to? A recent survey of female students at Indiana University showed most preferred men who had what is characterized as "poodge," a compromise between skinny and pudgy which consists of a very slight overflow over the pants line, a “bike tire” as opposed to a “spare tire,” if you will.

It is a popular misconception, formed in part by the media and by companies like Abercrombie & Fitch that glorify muscular men, women prefer a muscularly toned body type in a man. However, according to this 2003 survey, only 22% of  women prefer the muscles we are encouraged to lust after.

In another surprising twist, 22% of women also prefer a man with "pudge", slightly more than the aforementioned "poodge" characterized as enough body fat to overflow the pants line and make “love handles,” The bulge of the stomach can be slightly seen with a shirt on.

Spending time at the gym trying to obtain a 6-pack and pectoral muscles? Strain no more! In an undisclosed interview, one college Freshman said "Pudge is desirable in a man. He should be good and solid." while at the same time, another said she prefers someone who is "Skinny and Sexy"

So, gentlemen, there is no "ideal" body type for a man. As you can see, women's preferences vary only slightly, so whatever you've got is a safe bet.

I'd like to thank the lovely ladies of Forest Hall 2nd floor, B-tower for completing my not-so-scientific survey... (How Did I do the research for this article, anyway- click here to find out!)
